Originally from South Florida, Mr. Klein earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Florida. After graduating, he spent the next 25 years in various engineering and management roles at Motorola in South Florida, where he focused on designing and implementing critical communication solutions for public safety agencies, including police, fire, and EMS across the United States and for international clients. During this time, he managed teams around the world to support these vital efforts.
He now serves as the Director of Software Engineering at Honeywell Aerospace in Tampa, where he leads teams that develop safety-critical software used to navigate commercial and military aircraft, as well as rockets and missiles.
In his presentation, Mr. Klein will showcase cool products and emphasize the importance of reading, math, and science, along with nurturing creative curiosity. He highlights how these skills are essential in a rapidly changing world where artificial intelligence is transforming the workforce. As AI takes on more basic and repetitive tasks, the future will belong to those who excel in critical thinking and problem solving, skills that empower individuals to adapt and thrive in an evolving landscape.

Students won’t want to miss the chance to meet Mr. Przepis, a Tampa Bay based attorney. Growing up right here in Hudson, Florida, and graduating from Hudson High School, he went on to study Criminology at the University of South Florida before earning his law degree from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad College of Law.

For the past 16 years, Mr. Przepis has been a licensed attorney, beginning his career as a criminal defense lawyer and now working full-time in personal injury law, helping people who have been hurt get the justice they deserve.

During his Great American Teach In presentation, Mr. Przepis will share:

  • What it really takes to become a lawyer
  • How law school works
  • True stories from his career (told in a kid-friendly way!)
  • How students who love reading, writing, debating, or helping others can succeed in legal careers

Whether someone is curious about becoming a lawyer or just wants to understand why the law is such an essential part of our everyday lives, this is a presentation they won’t want to miss!

Your attendance at a VGATI session may be counted as a collaboration until December 1st. Be sure to submit your form to your teacher by that date.
