Florida End of Course (EOC)
Florida End of Course (EOC) assessments are required by the state of Florida in some courses. Public school students enrolled in and/or receiving credit for one of these courses, regardless of grade level, are required to take the Florida End of Course (EOC) assessment upon completion of the course. This includes middle school students completing a course associated with a Florida EOC assessment, regardless of whether they are receiving high school credit. The results of the EOC assessments will serve as 30% of the final grade in each course. Please note: The Florida EOC does not replace the course’s semester or final exam.
Students enrolling in a public school from other schools or programs are required to take and pass the Florida EOC assessment prior to receiving credit for the course. The courses that require a Florida EOC assessment are as follows:
- Algebra 1
- Biology
- Geometry
- US History
- M/J Civics (7th grade)
Additional information on the Florida EOC Assessments.
Students enrolled in Pasco eSchool’s Full-Time Virtual Instruction Program will be scheduled to complete their required state testing at Pasco eSchool. Information about test administration will be emailed home to families, as well as communicated electronically and by phone. Participation in state assessments is required by Florida Statute 1002.45.
Students who are enrolled at another public school while taking one or more online courses with Pasco eSchool will complete their required state assessments at their physical school site. Please contact the testing coordinator at your student’s local school for more information.
