Join Tom Brannigan to learn about some of the amazing science missions NOAA performs. These include atmospheric research, ocean research, weather prediction, and flying through hurricanes.

Tom Brannigan is an Electrical Engineer for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). He currently works at the Aircraft Operation Center in Lakeland, Florida, which is home to the NOAA Hurricane Hunters. As an electrical engineer, Mr. Brannigan applies engineering principles to develop and integrate electric and science equipment on NOAA’s various aircraft. The coolest part of his job is that he gets to fly through hurricanes to help predict what the storm is going to do.

The U.S. EEOC is a Law Enforcement Agency that investigates discrimination claims in the workplace. Join William P. Bastian as he covers the laws they enforce in the work world and how he got involved with the agency, and the process of investigation.

William P. Bastian is the Outreach and Education Coordinator for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Tampa Field Office. He has been employed with the EEOC since September 25, 2023. He is responsible for the timely and reliable technical advice and assistance to internal and external customers on EEOC laws, guidance and procedures, SEP priorities, White House Initiatives, Commission priorities, and district complement plans. Before his work with the U.S. EEOC, Mr. Bastian worked as a Transition Assistant Counselor for Inverness Technologies. Mr. Bastian served on Active Duty in the United States Army and retired after twenty-three years of active service in the rank of Sergeant Major. He performed duties as a Director of Recruiting and Retention Operations, Senior Program Manager of Retention, Recruiter, and Field Artillery Fire Direction Operator.
